Python Developer - Embedded Software

The Position

Join our team and contribute to the development of advanced scientific instrumentation that pushes the boundaries of science and technology.

Your primary focus will be the development and maintenance of embedded software for controlling mass spectrometers. Working closely with our software architect, software engineers, and cross-functional teams, you will contribute throughout the entire software development lifecycle — from initial concepts and research through implementation, testing, and customer release.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and maintain complex embedded software for mass spectrometry instruments
• Independently design and implement software solutions based on established architectures, using modern technologies and programming patterns
• Translate requirements into detailed technical software specifications
• Proactively prioritize and estimate development activities
• Analyze data and troubleshoot complex technical challenges
• Collaborate closely with software architects, engineers, and cross-functional teams
• Contribute to all stages of development, from research and concept development to final customer release
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to software colleagues
• Continuously explore new technologies and approaches to improve our products and development practices

Requirements

• Proven experience in embedded software development within complex software architectures
• University degree in Computer Science, Natural Sciences, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience developing software for scientific instruments or other complex embedded products
• Excellent knowledge of Python
• Strong background in embedded software development
• Good understanding of C++
• Interest in learning about mass spectrometry and its applications
• Strong initiative and ability to work independently while continuously expanding your technical expertise
• Professional proficiency in English
