Junior Trading Analyst 🎓 - Suitable for graduates!

About the role:

MVM CEEnergy CZ, a sister company of the innogy group, is looking for fresh talent to join our trading team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for balancing the largest gas portfolio in the Czech Republic, trading on the commodity exchange, and contributing to the development of streamlined and automated processes. You’ll make data-driven decisions with the support of experienced management and have the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of how commodity markets operate.

We’re seeking someone with a strong analytical mindset, unafraid to make independent decisions, eager to learn, and enthusiastic about bringing fresh ideas to the table.

🔑 What You will do:

As a Junior Trading Analyst, you’ll learn the ropes of energy trading while directly contributing to daily operations:

• Balance a weather-dependent gas portfolio using trading platforms.
• Make decisions using analytical tools to optimize usage of our assets
• Spot and assess market opportunities – no speculation, just smart trading.
• Help manage underground gas storage capacity.
• Help improve the efficiency of daily processes.
• Cooperate with partners to expand our product offering.

🧩 Your Profile:

• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail – you enjoy digging into data and finding patterns.
• Solid skills in Excel; VBA is a plus but not required.
• University degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or another analytical/business-related field.
• Proficiency in both Czech and English (spoken and written).
• Desire to learn new things and cooperate with your colleagues
• No previous experience required – we’ll support your development from day one.
