Mechanical Engineer

What you’ll do:

• Develop efficient, well-organized layouts and process flow diagrams for manufacturing plants and production lines, with a focus on optimizing overall process flow.
• Create and maintain accurate 2D and 3D models and drawings in AutoCAD in line with project requirements.
• Support plant and machine engineering activities within the defined project scope.
• Prepare clear and precise technical drawings, including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and layouts, based on inputs from Process and Quotation Engineers, ensuring all revisions are properly tracked and updated.
• Collaborate closely with Process, Engineering and Quotation Engineers to clarify design details and ensure drawings meet functional, safety and space-optimization requirements.
• Produce drawings and documentation in accordance with Bühler design standards, templates and drafting conventions to ensure consistency across deliverables.
• Capture return of experience and best practices, and apply lessons learned to future projects.
• Track schedules to ensure tasks are completed on time, and prioritize work to meet project deadlines and planned hours.

What should you already know/have?

• Technical education (university degree in mechanical engineering, or a technical high school diploma with relevant experience).
• Interest in process engineering and industrial projects.
• Good knowledge of common office applications.
• A systematic, structured and precise approach to work.
• AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently with guidance from experienced colleagues.
• Team-oriented mindset and good communication skills.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
