HSE Manager Mainland Europe

Responsibilities:

• Building an understanding of ALS HSE policies, standards, procedures, forms, and tools.
• Deploying systems designed to ensure that operations are compliant with HSE requirements.
• Providing the necessary training, support, monitoring and communications to ensure HSE systems are deployed in the region.
• Reporting and rectifying any compliance concern, unsafe practice, or environmental harm.
• Developing and improving the HSE & sustainability culture within the business unit through strong leadership.

Key Requirements:

• Completion of a degree, or certification in Occupational Health and Safety Program or equivalent is desired.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressively increasing responsibility in Health and Safety, ideally in laboratory or similar industry sector
• A high level of continuous professional development in health, safety, and environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Strong organizational skills and follow-through
• Positive and professional image.
• Possess tact and communication skills to work effectively with agencies and government.
• Demonstrated judgement, creativity, integrity, and ability to problem solve
• Ability to communicate in English both written and verbal. German is a big added value.
• Full driving license / ability to travel to ALS facilities on a monthly basis.
• Passport and willingness for occasional travel abroad.
• The position is fully office-based.
