Area Operations Manager

We are looking for an experienced Operations leader who will take responsibility for the nationwide Operations network in the Czech Republic.

The role is responsible for delivering operational excellence across the network, ensuring outstanding service quality, sustainable business performance and the long-term development of Operations capabilities. The successful candidate will lead large operational teams, drive productivity and performance improvements, support future business growth and play a key role in shaping the next stage of the Operations organisation.

Main Responsibilities:

• Take full accountability for operational performance, service quality and business results across the nationwide Operations network.
• Lead and develop a large multi-layer management organisation, ensuring strong leadership, clear accountability and succession planning across all operational levels.
• Drive productivity, cost efficiency and operational excellence initiatives to support sustainable business growth and long-term competitiveness.
• Lead business transformation, organisational effectiveness and network optimisation initiatives, ensuring Operations are prepared for future business requirements.
• Establish and continuously improve operating standards, performance management processes and governance across the entire Operations organisation.
• Use data-driven decision making to identify opportunities, solve operational challenges and improve customer and business outcomes.
• Own operational budgets, workforce planning, resource allocation and overall organisational effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with carriers and transport service providers, ensuring long-term capacity, performance, service quality and alignment with business requirements.
• Build strong partnerships across Customer Service, Sales, Finance, HR and IT to deliver business objectives and customer expectations.
• Develop future leadership capabilities, create a high-performance culture and ensure long-term organisational stability.
• Sponsor and lead strategic projects that improve scalability, efficiency, service quality and operational capabilities across the network.

What we are looking for:

• Proven experience leading large-scale logistics, parcel, transportation or distribution operations with responsibility for multiple locations and complex management structures.
• Strong track record in operational transformation, organisational effectiveness and performance improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to build, lead and develop high-performing management teams.
• Experience driving productivity, cost optimisation and operational excellence in a large-scale operational environment.
• Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to balance operational performance, customer experience and sustainable growth.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across functions and organisational levels.
• Strategic thinker with strong execution capability and a hands-on leadership approach.
