Current Opportunity

Are you an experienced Linux engineer who wants to do more than just keep systems running?We are looking for a Linux Service Owner who will take ownership of our Linux platform, drive its development and modernization, and help us move further towards automation, standardization and cloud integration.You will join a small and experienced team, working together on the development and improvement of our Linux platform and services. You will have the opportunity to contribute your ideas, participate in technical decisions, and help improve the way we work.

What will you be responsible for?

You will take ownership of the development, operation and continuous improvement of our Linux platform based primarily on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).

Your responsibilities will include:

• Administration, development and lifecycle management of the RHEL platform
• Linux server installation, decommissioning, patching and regular maintenance
• Development and operation of Linux-related services such as DNS, Red Hat Satellite and IPA etc.
• Development and maintenance of infrastructure automation using Ansible and AWX
• Creating and improving Ansible playbooks and automation standards
• Automating and standardizing Linux VM deployments in on-premises datacenters and Microsoft Azure
• Handling operational issues and incidents and identifying opportunities to prevent them through automation
• Supporting IT, Development and Product teams consuming Linux services
• Participating in infrastructure and application projects
• Continuously improving platform stability, security, automation and standardization
• Helping define technical standards and the future architecture of the Linux platform

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with strong hands-on Linux experience who is comfortable taking technical ownership.

You should have:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Linux infrastructure administration and platform development
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with infrastructure automation and automation tools
• Strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux
• Practical experience with DNS
• Experience with Red Hat Satellite
• Experience with IPA / Identity Management
• Strong experience with Ansible and AWX
• Experience developing Ansible playbooks and automating infrastructure and operational tasks
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly Linux VM deployment and infrastructure automation (not mandatory)
• Experience working with large or complex IT environments
• Good understanding of Linux lifecycle management, patching, security and platform operations

You take ownership of your area, can work independently and are comfortable making technical decisions. Instead of repeatedly solving the same operational problem manually, you naturally look for ways to automate it.

You are also able to communicate effectively with other technical teams, understand their requirements.
