O pozici

We are looking for a TOP Business Development Manager / Key Account Manager for Chinese business partners and we are coming with an offer that cannot be refused! We are opening a brand new and one of the key roles within the business sector of PPL and DHL, which manages a development of cross-business units for global customers and which has no predecessor. Therefore, you will be able to shape your role, to a large extent, according to yourself. You will influence how this role will be set up and successful.

You will be the main contact for the Chinese market, where you will use your perfect Chinese and English. The position is the right match for you if you already have experience in business development, can navigate the corporate environment and of course if you love challenges.

What can you expect?

  • You identify and approach key global customers in the Chinese market and build strong relationships with them. You don’t have to travel to China every month, but business is best done face to face, so you will occasionally visit your partners in China.
  • You research customer strategies and map potential opportunities for DHL, based on customer priorities and needs. When you find opportunities, you seize them immediately.
  • You contribute to the creation of business strategy for the entire DHL Group and its divisions.
  • Based on customer collaboration, you support DHL innovation with your know-how and market knowledge (collaboration with innovation teams, providing expertise and news in our business, etc.).
  • As an expert, you prepare professional and personalized proposals and presentations for potential customers so that after the introduction, we are a step away from closing the deal. You will be the most important contact for customers.
  • When it comes to closing deals and agreements, you are the main partner for customers and do everything to ensure a smooth process.
  • You maintain relationships, strategic partnerships and all structures to support customer growth.

What we expect from you:

  • You are an old hand in business with many years of experience and numerous closed deals, even on a global level. In the B2B world, you are like a fish in water and understand the process from a single lead to closing large contracts.
  • The Chinese market is familiar territory for you, you understand the local business culture, negotiation methods, decision-making processes and the concept of Guanxi. In short, you know what to say directly, what to say indirectly, how to read between the lines or when to let the other party speak (whether it is a medium-sized company or a giant).
  • We would appreciate it if you have a basic understanding of Chinese business law (customs processes, import/export, certification, etc.).
  • You communicate in Chinese and English at a fully professional level (C1 – C2) and it is not a complication for you to conduct business negotiations independently online or directly with clients. Knowledge of Czech is an advantage.
  • You are an excellent communicator and negotiator, a natural networker who feels at ease with people.
  • You present not only yourself but also our services perfectly and you know how to impress those around you. You don't make decisions based on intuition, but on hard data and experience.
  • You think strategically about business and see opportunities where others see complications. You don't wait for instructions, but take action and move things forward.
  • The customer is your top prioroty and you always strive for win-win solutions.
  • You are prepared to work in different time zones and with different communication styles.
