Extrusion Project Engineer - Mechanical/Electrical Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Extrusion Project Engineer to join our team in Otrokovice 2, Czechia. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing extrusion processes, leading projects, and driving continuous improvement in our manufacturing operations with focuson Control and Drives area.

• Develop and implement extrusion projects to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity
• Analyze extrusion processes and recommend improvements to enhance performance and reduce costs

• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide innovative solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Continental plants to ensure project goals are met
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for management
• Stay up-to-date with the latest extrusion technologies and industry trends
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
• Mentor and train junior engineers and technicians
• Consultant for Continental plants worldwide
• Travel according to planned projects

What do you need for this job?

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation or related field
• Experience in extrusion engineering or related field is considered as a strong asset
• Knowledge of extrusion processes, equipment, and tooling is considered as a strong asset
• Excellent project management skills with a track record of successful project completion
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with data analysis and interpretation
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and continuous improvement methodologies
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred
• Willingness to travel occasionally to other manufacturing sites as needed (aprx. 25% of working time)
