Test automation developer - integration testing (f/m/d)

Siemens Foundational Technologies Development R&D Center is focused on development of key products of Siemens, including software development, hardware development, mechanical design, and testing for the next generation concept of Industry 4.0.

We are a team working to develop a new generation of low voltage switchgear. Low voltage switchgear such as soft starters, monitoring and safety relays and more can be found in industry and modern buildings. Our responsibility is to find innovative solutions for industrial communications and their integration into new and existing products. Your task will be:

• design of test scenarios
• test development and test automation
• test execution and evaluation
• clarifying requirements with developers and project manager
• test infrastructure design and management
• creating documentation
• collaboration in an international agile team

What we will appreciate from you:

• technical education or adequate experience in the field

• experience with industrial automation in the SIMATIC TIA Portal environment
• knowledge of the principles of testing and testing of embedded solutions in CI/CD
• knowledge of C# and/or Python for test automation
• knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as OPC-UA, PROFINET etc. is an advantage

As advantage:

• Proficiency in test development under Linux
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python
• Experience in developing platform-independent code
