Process Engineer – New Glass Production Lines

Do you want to be part of a unique international project where new production lines are being built from scratch and transferred into full serial operation?
We are looking for a technically strong, hands-on engineer who will lead the installation, commissioning and operational start-up of new glass production lines in Duchcov.
This position offers long-term technical growth, international cooperation and the chance to become a key technical figure in a newly developing production segment.

Your key responsibilities:

• Take full technical ownership of the installation, start-up and stabilisation of new glass production lines.
• Act as the main link between local production and international process & engineering teams during technology transfer.
• Define and implement production procedures, preventive maintenance concepts and quality control standards.
• Actively support and train operators and maintenance technicians during ramp-up and serial production start.
• Monitor process performance, identify deviations and drive root-cause analysis and long-term corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and operational standards throughout all phases of production.
• Participate in continuous improvement, process optimisation and troubleshooting directly on the shopfloor.

Requirements:

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or a comparable technical field.
• 3–8 years of hands-on experience in process engineering, production engineering, maintenance or industrial technologies (process industry, glass, automotive or heavy manufacturing is ideal).
• Strong ability to read and work with technical documentation and drawings (AutoCAD or similar tools).
• Proven hands-on mindset – someone who is used to working directly with technology on the shopfloor, not only from the office.
• Structured problem-solving approach, ability to analyse process issues and drive long-term technical solutions.
• Communicative level of English (min. B2) for daily cooperation with international engineering and process experts.
• Willingness to complete an extended training period abroad (Italy) and fully engage in on-site ramp-up in Duchcov.
• Experience with glass forming, thermal processes or glass chemistry is a strong advantage, but not a must.
