Embedded SW developer C/C++ (f/m/d)

At our Siemens FT D R&D Center we are focused on product development including software development, hardware development, mechanical design, and testing for the next generation concept of Industry 4.0.

We cooperate on development of a modular platform for flow, level, pressure, and temperature sensing field devices. Key priorities: standardized design, resource-constrained optimization (power/memory), and functional safety compliance. You will collaborate with international, cross-functional experts in SW architecture, CI, and HW design.

Your task will be:

• Develop and maintain embedded software in C++ with a strong focus on readability, and long-term maintainability.
• Software Design & Implementation: architecture, modularization, interfaces, and clean integration of new features.
• Engineering Excellence: code reviews, testing, profiling and documentation
• CI/CD pipelines (toolchain maintenance, automation, ...)
• International Team Collaboration
• Autonomy & Ownership

You can look forward to:

What we will appreciate from you:

• Stron experience with C++: OOP, UML, patterns, and secure coding
• Proficient in design principles, static analysis, version control, review culture, testability, and maintainability
• Practical experience with CI/CD and build automation
• Comfortable with build processes (tooling, scripts, artifact management)
• Experience with AI-assisted development (e.g., GitHub Copilot, AI assistants).
• Ability to own topics from idea to delivery
• Language Skills: Fluent in English (written and spoken)
