IT Project Manager - SAP Payroll Project

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the replacement and transformation of the current Czech payroll solution for an international client.

The project will focus primarily on payroll and HR processes, ensuring that the future solution fully supports Czech payroll requirements, local legislation, collective agreements and complex manufacturing pay models.

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the project end-to-end – from vendor selection and requirements gathering through implementation, testing, cutover, go-live and stabilization. You will act as the key link between Payroll, HR, Finance, Production, local business stakeholders and external implementation partners.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end Czech payroll replacement / transformation project

• Drive the analysis, documentation and optimization of current payroll and HR processes

• Gather and manage business requirements for the future payroll solution

• Ensure that Czech payroll requirements, collective agreements, shift models, overtime, bonuses, premiums, absences and statutory requirements are properly addressed

• Organize and facilitate workshops with Payroll, HR, Finance, Production and other business stakeholders

• Lead RFI/RFP activities and support vendor selection

• Coordinate external vendors and implementation partners

• Manage project scope, timeline, budget, risks, dependencies and deliverables

• Ensure effective stakeholder communication and project reporting

• Coordinate testing, business readiness, training, cutover and go-live activities

• Lead the stabilization and hypercare phase after go-live

• Ensure successful adoption of the new payroll solution by local business and payroll teams

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of Project Management experience

• Proven experience delivering payroll transformation or payroll implementation projects

• Strong understanding of payroll and HR processes

• Experience with complex payroll environments, ideally within a manufacturing organization

• Practical understanding of shift models, overtime, bonuses, premiums, absences and collective bargaining agreements

• Experience managing RFI/RFP processes and vendor selection

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

• Fluent Czech and English – written and spoken

• Ability and willingness to work partially on-site in Northern Czech Republic, with approx. 50% on-site presence throughout the project or, at minimum, during key project phases

• Ability to work independently in a complex, multinational stakeholder environment

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Czech payroll legislation and statutory reporting

• Experience with SAP ECC HR (PY-CZ) migration to SAP PCE HCM/Payroll

• Experience with Workday and payroll integrations

• Experience from multinational organizations / global projects

• German language is an advantage
