Field Application Engineer

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:

For our partner company, Advantech Europe, which specializes in embedded IoT, we are looking for a colleague for the position of Field Application Engineer.

Your challenge

Can you find the right solutions to our customers’ technical challenges? From pre-sales to after-service and support, you are in charge of organizing solutions in our future in-house lab in Brno.

Your responsibility

You have a key technical resource role, driving and managing a variation of (“complex”) technical challenges. You work together with technical experts worldwide towards solutions for technical issues during pre-sales, implementation, and after service support. With your solid technical background and hands-on mentality, you organize solutions using our technical in-house lab. You are a key contributor to the team on technical topics during customer presentations, trainings, workshops, and exhibitions.

You will provide various services and world-class technical expertise to corporate clients, as needed.
You showcase yourself as a technical expert towards our customer of our products and solutions.
You will take charge of building relationships with corporate customers, researching information, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and solving customer technical problems.
You make sure you are up to date on today’s technical topics around your technical expertise.
You will prepare, develop and maintain demos as well as Proof of Concepts with the latest technologies to support the business.
You interface with customers to troubleshoot issues and deliver timely resolutions, both remotely and on-site when necessary.

Who are you?

Technical education (for example Electronics, Computer Science, Information technologies).
You are familiar with x86 architecture and/or RISC architecture.
You are familiar with BIOS, Windows and Linux (ex. ubuntu) operation.
You have experience in technical customer support and have strong communication skills with a customer-focused attitude to identify requirements.
You are service oriented, customer-focused and have a strong hands-on mentality, like to work in a team to achieve the best support and solutions for customers.
You show the ability to act well within international working environment (working experience with Asian culture is big plus).
Fluency in English both oral and written is a must, any other Eastern European language is a plus.
