Electrical Quality Assurance Technician – Space Systems

The job will include a high diversity of tasks, While Quality Assurance is a key part of the role, it also includes duties related to Occupational Health-and-Safety & Environment, and hands-on construction of electrical/electronic hardware and possibly electrical testing of our products.

Your responsibilities will typically include:

- Produce and update quality-related documentation on projects, proposals and offers, in cooperation with the project manager and the project technical team, assist with document administration.
- Perform quality related tasks such as incoming parts inspections, CE checks, and assist with various test procedures.
- Ensure that contractual quality requirements and regulatory requirements for quality are met in projects for Space/ Ground Support in our projects.

- Ensure customer quality requirements are identified early (by participation in proposal and contract reviews) and documented and implemented in the project via the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP).

- Represent our QA in customer-facing project milestone meetings.
- Participate in project milestone meetings to ensure milestone check list compliance.
- Support internal and external quality audits for certification purposes.
- Support QA-related tasks in the wider global corporation context such as participating in supplier quality reviews, document updates or other internal process support and document handling.

- Work with the global HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) organization in Terma to ensure implementation of local HSE procedures according to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

- Hands-on construction of electrical/electronic hardware and possibly electrical testing of our products.

Qualifications and Compentencies

Applicants shall have at least a trade-school or other advanced education in Electrical Engineering and or experience working in high-tech industry such as Space, Aerospace or Automotive.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Electrical/Electronics technician or as a Quality Technician/Specialist or tester preferably in a high-tech industry such as space, aerospace or automotive.
- Certificate for CZ Electrical regulation 194 (previously §50), or education which allows achievement thereof.
- MS Office working proficiency.
- Ability and willingness to learn.
- Organizational skills, ability to work individually.
- Strong execution skills: Solution orientation, courageous and self-confidential presence – e.g. not being afraid of taking a stand, always in a constructive and humble manner
- Strong team player: everybody does their part and we help each other.

The following will be an advantage

- Experience as a Quality technician/Specialist or tester preferably in a high-tech industry such as space, aerospace or automotive.
- Knowledge of ISO Standards e.g. ISO-9001

- Knowledge of EMC issues

System level experience understanding the interaction between mechanical, electronic and software components.
