Data Science Team Lead

The Role

You'll own the Prague Data Science team - setting goals, giving honest feedback, and helping your team do the best work of their careers. We want to grow our team without any compromises in the quality of our work.
You'll work on complex data science projects, design solution architectures, and deliver real outcomes for clients across different industries. Our work sits at the intersection of data science and process intelligence. We want someone who's hands-on, cares deeply about quality, and gets excited by hard problems.
We measure you on how the team performs and grows - and you're part of that team, delivering alongside them.

What You'll Do

Leading the Prague Team

• Own the Prague Data Science team and be an important part of building up the Prague office - growing it and shaping how it works.
• Act with the entire Prague office and the company in mind - not only the current DS team.
• Act as a role model. You set the standard for both the quality of the work and how people treat each other.
• Aim for a trust-based management style - give people room to own their work and decisions. Where someone isn't there yet, develop them until they are.
• Lead at eye level. The title is a responsibility, not a status symbol.
• Help your people grow: honest, structured feedback and a real sense of where each person wants to go.
• Set meaningful goals and create the conditions for people to do the best work of their careers.
• Help new joiners onboard well and feel set up to succeed from day one.
• Handle the operational side of team management too - balance capacity across projects, flag resourcing risks early, coordinate staffing with Munich, and keep project budgets on track.

Technical Delivery

• Take complex data science and process intelligence projects from idea to delivery - you're in the work, not just reviewing it.
• Design scalable, simple, and sustainable solution concepts before implementation starts - security and maintainability built in from the start.
• Use process mining, AI, and advanced analytics to optimise business processes and generate measurable value for clients.
• Translate data into decisions - you bridge the gap between technical output and real business impact.
• Build strong client relationships, proactively align expectations with delivery, and step in confidently when things get tricky.
• Identify opportunities to create additional value within existing accounts and contribute to long-term client success.

What You Bring

Must-haves

• 3+ years of experience in Data Science, Data Analytics, or Business Intelligence.
• Strong hands-on skills across the stack. Data engineering, modelling, and front-end delivery - ideally in a process intelligence or BI tool.
• A business mindset - you are not only interested in technical work but also in business applications.
• You think in solution concepts: designing scalable, clean, and sustainable architectures before anyone starts building.
• Confident communicator with clients and senior stakeholders.
• Fluent English; happy working across a CZ/DE setup.

Nice-to-haves

• Process Intelligence or Process Mining background - Celonis experience is a plus.
• German and/or Czech.
• You've led or managed a technical team before.
