PROJECT MANAGER (Semi - Technical) - Fintech & Data Platforms

Orka Ventures is seeking a talented Project Manager to work with tech and business teams. We’re a small but fast-growing team building lending and data platforms across Europe, in the Czech Republic, Iceland, and Spain. Our projects range from solid, long-term systems to fresh initiatives that need energy, structure, and someone who can turn ideas into results.
This is a semi-technical Project Manager role: you’ll work close to APIs, data flows, and release processes, helping our tech and business teams stay aligned and moving forward. You will be critical to the organisation, leading execution of new projects involving cross functional teams (from commercial, marketing, finance, legal, people, and tech tech). You will help plan, monitor, and deliver a variety of projects, always keeping stakeholders informed throughout the project cycle.

What will you do?

• Leading all stages of project management, from scoping through to execution. Identifying timelines, dependencies, and management of the project.
• Organize and be the driving force behind sprints, kick-offs, and reviews; track progress and ensure documentation stays current.
• Lead regular project updates with cross functional teams and regularly updating stakeholders on progress
• Be the link between IT and business, ensuring both sides speak the same language.
• Coordinate meetings, manage priorities, and maintain clear communication across teams.
• Identifying risks and opportunities within day-to-day ways of working in the context of new distribution expansion
• Manage vendor relationships, procurement, and subscriptions.
• Work closely with stakeholders and translate business intent into actionable, testable engineering tasks.
• Apply pragmatic Agile, use Scrum or Kanban as the context requires.

Who will you be working with?

You’ll collaborate closely with Orka’s in-house technical team, which includes software developers, data analysts, and DevOps engineers. You’ll also interact daily with business stakeholders (such as Marketing Managers, Country Directors, the CEO, and the CFO) to align objectives and prioritize projects and features.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will demonstrably have:

• At least 3 years of experience as an IT Project Manager.
• Strong planning, organization, and prioritization skills
• Hands-on experience with Agile delivery (Scrum, Kanban, Lean)
• Natural ability to bridge business and technical contexts
• Fluent in Czech and English (both spoken and written)
• Bonus: experience with fintech or data-oriented projects

• Salary up to 100,000 CZK/month
• Full-time position based in Prague with a minimum of two office days per week and occasional travel.
