DevOps Engineer

We are looking for experienced DevOps Engineer with a passion for automation, CI/CD, and reliable infrastructure. Skilled in Linux environments, containerization, and cloud technologies, with a strong interest in modern deployment solutions and collaborative development.

Your Role

As a DevOps Engineer, you will:

• automate and enhance the implementation and delivery of our software solution, including nightly builds, automatic staging deployment, and virtual machine installers,

• explore innovative deployment solutions, release processes, and strategies, such as bundling lightweight Kubernetes into virtual machine, and using semantic versioning and releases,

• help integrate new components and technologies into our product,

• keep staging environments up and running to keep developers happy,

• maintain demo environments so future customers can try our product and see how wonderful it is,

• collaborate closely with our developers by suggesting logging improvements, adding more metrics, and contributing to architecture changes,

• work with our technical consultants to discuss and apply feedback on technical documentation, configuration, and customer-facing enhancements,

• embrace an infrastructure-as-code approach wherever possible for deployment, configuration and documentation.

Our development is based on microservice architecture principles. The core components are technology microservices powered by neural networks, providing audio processing methods. These can be used as standalone products or combined into an all-in-one solution with a REST API. We are currently focused on on-premise deployment, mainly using Virtual Machines. In the long term, we aim to expand our focus to the commercial sector, therefore, experience in this area is a strong advantage.

Skills You Will Need

To excel in this role, you should be proficient in:

• common operating systems: primarily Linux; knowledge of Windows is a plus,

• containerization: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS, K3S), Helm,

• cloud platforms: AWS (or Azure),

• building virtual machine images: Packer, Cloud-init, AWS EC2,

• infrastructure automation tools: Ansible, Terraform, or similar,

• monitoring: we are using Grafana, Prometheus and Loki,

• version control: storing code in a GIT repository,

• continuous integration: familiarity with GitLab pipelines is advantageous,

• scripting languages: Python, Bash, Powershell,

• Czech and English: you will use these languages with our worldwide customers and around our office.

You will be working from our offices in Brno-Královo pole. We value team cooperation, and we believe that team spirit arises from personal interactions. However, working from home 1-2 days a week is also possible. 😊
