Position context: Business Development Manager

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team and develop business activities in the field of construction and engineering within the Czech Republic and Central and Eastern European (CEE/EE) region particularly with international clients.

Your Role

• Active identification and development of new business opportunities in construction and engineering
• Building and developing relationships with existing and new clients (including international ones)
• Daily communication in English – business meetings, presentations, proposals and networking with international partners
• Active participation in public tenders and procurement processes (preparation, coordination and submission of bids)
• Preparation and presentation of business offers and tender documentation
• Cooperation with project teams in preparing technical and cost solutions
• Close cooperation with other departments within the international ARTELIA group (technical teams, project management, legal and finance)
• Coordination of activities across corporate structures, sharing know-how and involvement in international projects and initiatives
• Creation and implementation of business strategy and business plan for the Czech Republic and the EE region in line with the global strategy of the ARTELIA group
• Market analysis and identification of priority segments and growth opportunities in the Czech Republic and the EE region
• Analysis of competition and identification of new segments (e.g. industrial construction, EV infrastructure)
• Participation in the company’s development strategy in the Czech Republic and the region
• Representation of the company at business meetings, conferences and professional events

Project Focus

• Industrial construction
• Development of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure
• Multisite projects (management of business activities across multiple locations in the Czech Republic and the CEE/EE region)

What is Important for Us

• Secondary or university education (technical or economic field is an advantage)
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in business development or sales in construction or a technical field
• Experience with international clients is required
• Czech language – native or fluent level
• English - advanced (min. B2+/C1) – required for daily active business communication and negotiation in an international environment
• Experience with public procurement / tenders is an advantage
• Ability to create business strategy and business plans and translate them into concrete activities
• Ability to identify business opportunities and bring them to completion
• Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
• Strategic thinking and results-oriented approach
• Knowledge of the CEE/EE market is an advantage
• Permanent residence in the Czech Republic
• Driving licence (Category B)
