Software Test Engineer (External Contractor for Thermo Fisher Scientific)

SPSOFT is currently looking for a Software Test Engineer who will be fully dedicated to supporting Thermo Fisher Scientific in Brno.

Thermo Fisher Scientific develops and manufactures innovative electron microscopes and spectrometers. These tools participate in the research of the ZIKA virus, HIV, and help enable the shrinking of mobile phones. The company is the largest producer of electron microscopes in the world, continuing a tradition spanning more than 70 years.

Although the successful candidate will be employed by SPSOFT, they will work exclusively for Thermo Fisher Scientific, operating on-site at Thermo Fisher premises and collaborating closely with internal teams.

How will you make an impact?

Working within a supportive and driven team at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the content of the internal application and related processes. This role involves daily collaboration with operations and application development teams and may include direct participation in projects related to the application.

The engineer understands the importance of application and product quality and achieves success through commitment, collaboration, technical expertise, and cooperation with a network of experts within Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain internal application content based on engineering, manufacturing, and cross-departmental requirements
• Collaborate closely with the development team to successfully implement and improve application features
• Provide feedback and suggestions to improve application performance
• Improve processes across various departments to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
• Offer support to a distributed team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment
• Provide technical support to ensure seamless application usage

Requirements:

• University degree or equivalent experience in a technical field
• Proven knowledge of HTML and JavaScript
• Knowledge of GitHub or SQL is an advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft products
• English language skills at a communicative level
• An active, careful approach to work with attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of the Czech language
