Software Developer (APIs) Sports Tech Industry

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, optimize and extend microservices.
• Support the continued migration of legacy components to newer versions and architectures.
• Monitor and improve system performance to ensure high availability and speed at scale.
• Integrate with GraphQL APIs and internal systems.
• Collaborate with backend peers and DevOps to deploy and troubleshoot in AWS-based cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform.

Requirements:

• Extensive professional experience with modern Java and PHP.
• Strong understanding of backend service architecture and microservices design.
• Experience working with cloud-based deployments, ideally on AWS.
• Ability to debug, profile and optimize high-traffic services handling millions of requests daily.
• Familiarity with GraphQL APIs and event-driven data systems.
• Comfortable working in an agile team with shared ownership and collaboration.

Nice to have:

• Experience handling real-time data feeds or event-intensive systems.
• Knowledge of IaC tools like Terraform or containerized environments (e.g., Docker, ECS).
• Background in sports tech, data platforms or large-scale transactional systems.
