Your Role as AP Team Lead

As our Accounts Payable Team Lead, you will play a key role in leading and developing the AP function for the Franchise Accounting department.
This role is perfect for someone who excels at motivating people, optimizing processes, and ensuring financial accuracy.

Your key responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and support a team of our colleagues in the Accounts Payable team
• Drive process improvements and identify opportunities for automation and standardization
• Collaborate closely with franchise owners, stores, and internal stakeholders
• Monitor KPIs, workload distribution, and performance follow‑up
• Oversee period‑end tasks, reconciliations, and audit support
• Act as a key contributor in onboarding new stores and new processes
• Participate in and/or lead AP‑related projects to enhance workflows and system usage
• Ensure compliance with Elkjøp’s accounting policies and internal controls

Who We Think You Are

• You have proven experience in people leadership, preferably within Accounts Payable or finance
• You are passionate about developing people, building strong teams, and creating a positive work culture
• You understand accounting principles – accounting courses or certifications (e.g. ACCA modules) are an advantage
• Experience with project management, process improvements or change management is a strong plus
• Knowledge of Elkjøp’s systems and processes (SAP, VIC, Power BI, MS Excel) is a great benefit
• You communicate clearly and confidently with both colleagues and stakeholders
• You can manage multiple priorities and deliver high‑quality results on time
• You are fluent in English – a Nordic language is an advantage
