Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for a new team member for the position of Mechanical engineer.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 3-5 years of product engineering experience, with at least 3 years or 2 product cycles specifically in automotive lamp system (forward/rear) and component design.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.

• Technical Skills: CAD Software: High proficiency in 3D CAD modeling, specifically CATIA V5/V6 (solids, surfacing, assembly, and drafting).

• Plastic Design/Mold Construction: In-depth knowledge of injection-molded plastic part design and die mold construction.

• Language: Czech, English (B2)

Engineering Processes:

• DFMEA & DVP&R: Experience in conducting Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R).
• GD&T: Expert application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure assembly fitment.
• DFM/DFA: Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design & Development: Create 3D models and 2D drawings for headlamp components, ensuring they align with styling intent and technical requirements.
• Supplier/Tooling Support: Work directly with Tier 1 suppliers to ensure manufacturability and provide tooling support.
• Validation: Participate in mocking up and testing of parts to validate designs (thermal management, vibration, durability).

Preferred Skills:

• Technology Proficiency: Experience with LED lighting, including knowledge of light guides, light blades, adaptive front-lighting systems (AFS), matrix.
• Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems.
• Knowledge of thermal simulation and structural analysis.
