CREDIT CONTROLLER & COLLECTION SPECIALIST

JOB PURPOSE

The Credit Controller & Collection specialist mitigates credit risk and losses through effective and high-quality credit management services to protect the accounts receivables asset of the group. Responsible for managing the creditworthiness of potential and existing customers while ensuring effective collection activities. Proactively manage the collection of outstanding invoices, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, timely payment and minimizing overdue balances. Close cooperation with sales department to ensure effective
debt recovery while maintaining good commercial relationship.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Acceptance Management
Coordinate the customer acceptance process, approaching customers proactively, ensuring evaluation of customers within established systems. Provide support to the team in handling the complexities of customer assessments.

Credit Control
Managing credit hold orders, by checking creditworthiness and payment performance of customers. Working proactively to ensure a smooth sales process while monitoring the credit risk. Ensure the aged debt is identified and investigated and that the dunning process is managed effectively to maximize the collection of overdue payments. Liaise with external partners to resolve complex payment issues.

Data Collection and Analysis
Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently. Contribute to the compilation of various data reports and analysis.

Insights and Reporting
Contribute to the preparation of various data and analytics reports.

Compliance
Understand credit policy and procedures and make sure that these are applied and implemented accordingly to ensure that credit terms are consistent and align with company’s risk management strategy.

Policy Development and Implementation
Provide specialist advice on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures.
