About the role

The Automation team in Ubiquiti Pilsen office is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) colleague with a strong background in networking and QA automation. This role involves developing and maintaining end-to-end automated tests for our networking devices, contributing to the robustness and reliability of our products. We are looking for a proactive team player with a solid understanding of computer networks and a passion for automation and quality assurance.

Candidates should be prepared to work from our Pilsen office with the possibility to work occasionally from home after onboarding.

Key Responsibilities:

Day-to-day work with various kind of Network type devices
Create, maintain and execute automated test scripts
Design and implement network scenarios in our test framework
Automation of the testing process

Knowledge and experience

Must have:

• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols (L2/L3 network protocols, 802.1Q,…)
• Knowledge of QA (automated / manual) workflow
• Knowledge in programming languages commonly used for test automation
• Attitude: "What can be automated - should be automated"
• Fluent in English and Czech
• Willingness to learn new things on a regular basis

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Linux / Unix
• Experience in unit / integration testing
• Experience with network device testing and familiarity with related hardware
• Experience with PHP or similar language
• System Administration
• DevOps (CI/CD setup & administration, Terraform scripts)
