Teams calling and network security specialist

ComAp is looking for a specialist in IP telephony and firewall management to join our Global IT Team in Prague!

What will your main responsibilities be?

• Administer Microsoft Teams Calling (Direct Routing, SIP trunking).
• Troubleshoot call quality and connectivity issues.
• Maintain voice infrastructure (SBC, SIP endpoints, gateways).
• Configure and monitor FortiGate firewalls and Cisco switches.
• Ensure secure VPN connections across locations.
• Perform regular security assessments and incident response.
• Manage service SLAs, change, and release processes.
• Document procedures and configurations comprehensively.
• Collaboration with all involved business departments, including active interaction with colleagues in IT and security.
• Active learning - stay updated on emerging technologies.

Our requirements (must):

• Experience managing Microsoft Teams telephony (or other similar service i.e Cisco Webex, Slack etc.) features like Auto Attendants, Call Queues, Direct Routing, Operator Connect, Teams Phone System).
• Practical knowledge in deploying and managing SBC, Direct Routing connections, voice protocols and troubleshooting voice quality issues (packet loss, jitter, latency).
• Network fundamentals - solid understanding of TCP/IP stack incl. DNS, DHCP, and NAT, experience configuring VLANs, routing, QoS, and network segmentation for VoIP traffic incl. experience with network troubleshooting tools (i.e. Wireshark)
• Advanced level of English and communicative Czech language

Our requirements (nice to have):

• Knowledge of next-generation firewalls (NGFWs) and network devices (L3 switches)
• Practical experience in management and troubleshooting of NGFWs, especially Fortinet product family and/or Cisco devices
