Senior Financial Accountant

Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for the reconciliation, analyses and balancing of accounts through the use of systems and reports in accordance with local and US GAAP policies and procedures. The main function is in conducting regular ledger closings and ensuring properly accounted transactions. The position requires accounting knowledge, analytical and reconciliation experience as well as high level of autonomy and accuracy. Our company is using the financial system Oracle and reporting is managed in Hyperion/HFM. This position will partially cover activities for ADP Czech entity and oversees/controls the accounting for ADP GlobalView B.V. NL entity.

Main responsibilities

· Manage month-, quarter and year-end closing process. Assess the accuracy and completeness of financial statements and accounting records
· Ensure compliance with local, SOX and US GAAP regulations and policies
· Manage journal entries and ensure proper general ledger coding. Identify, assess, and resolve issues and out-of-balances.
· Manage Inter-company transaction and reconciliation process. Resolve issues and out-of-balances
· CE – cash management/posting of bank statements/reconciliation
· AP process - invoice/prepayment posting, payment preparation/communication with vendors/bank/Concur TEs/ assistance to associates with prepayment/Amex credit cards usage
· Fixed Assets management
· Preparation of monthly/quarterly and yearly statistics requested by CZ authorities
· VAT reporting and other tax reporting required
· Support the preparation of Annual Accounts and Directors reports
· Comprehensive assistance to auditors during internal and external audits
· Participation in Corporate wide projects (for example testing for system regular updates)
· Support FP&A functions - responding to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data

· The activities will be split into 2 parts:

· 1/ handling AP process for entity ADP Czech Republic

· 2/check/oversees GL accounting process for NL entity ( make sure accuracy and completeness for all entries, cooperation with F&PA and Accounting Director)

Requirements

· Accounting or finance degree

· Previous experience in an accounting or finance role or in managing small team 2-3 people ( can be advantage)

· Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Oracle knowledge is plus)

· Solid understanding of bookkeeping competencies

· Good mathematical skills

· Time management skills (delivery priorities within strict timelines)

· Ability to remain confidential and work under time pressure

· Detailed oriented

· Advanced English and Czech/Slovak

· Good written and oral communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with internal/external partners
